Tsvetkoff Gender Reveal | Clinton Twp., MI

My best friend is having a baby!

Meghan and Paul had their gender reveal party last month. I think there were like 50 people there to witness the best explosion of color ever! Paul is a die hard hockey guy, so what better way to find out the gender of their baby than with an exploding hockey puck?!

Paul’s brother and I were the only two people who knew the gender of Baby Tsvetkoff ahead of time. It was the longest 24 hours of my life and the only secret I have ever kept from Meghan (we’ve been friends for 28 years).

Scroll through the images below. What do you notice? I notice that pure joy on everyone’s face. Baby Tsvetkoff is already surrounded by so much love. I am so excited for Meghan and Paul. I had so much fun capturing this special time for these two.

Thank you for having me be apart of this awesome memory! Love you guys!

Hadley Wedding | Armada, MI

Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:8

Irene reached out to me just a few days before her wedding! Brandon and her had decided they wanted to get married in their neighbor’s backyard and just have their two friends as witnesses. They wanted to wait and surprise friends and family by telling them after the wedding happened. I was so happy I was available last minute! Their quaint, backyard wedding was beautiful!

There was just something about the intimacy of this ceremony that filled my heart with so much joy! Irene and Brandon’s vows to each other were personal and beautiful. Their neighbor, also their officiant, had both of them talk about the first time they met and what they loved about each other. Irene was smiling from ear to ear and I even got some smiles out of Brandon (he’s not a fan of photos)… mission accomplished haha!

Congratulations to Irene and Brandon! May you have a lifetime of happiness, joy and wonderful memories… and may you always remember the love you shared on your special day!

Baby Lucido’s Shower | Shelby Twp., MI

Up, up and away!

I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful baby shower in early August. I booked this shower a few months before I went on maternity leave and was super excited to get back into shooting once August rolled around. I had not met the couple prior to their baby shower, so I was super anxious once the day arrived. Dayna and Joe were the sweetest couple ever! We clicked right away and I had so much fun photographing their shower. Come to find out, we even had mutual friends!

Dayna and Joe did not find out the gender of their baby! I give them credit… I am the most impatient person ever and found out both genders of my two children as soon as I could!

This baby shower was beautiful! It was decorated as a pastel yellow, hot air balloon theme. I would have to say my favorite part was the beautiful letter that Dayna’s dad wrote. I found myself tearing up as Dayna read it to everyone that attended the shower. Luckily, the tears didn’t last too long. Dayna and Joe had their guests play the best baby shower game I’ve ever witnessed… The Dirty Diaper Game! This game was basically like musical chairs. Guests passed around a handful of diapers at their table. Once the music stopped, the person with the poopy diaper was out. Don’t worry… it wasn’t real poop haha! It was melted candy bars.

Thank you Dayna and Joe for asking me to photograph your baby shower! I am so excited for you two. Only a few short weeks until your lives change for the best. I can’t wait to find out if you’re team blue or pink! Congrats!

Baby Henke’s Shower | Rochester, MI

“Every good and perfect gift is from above.” James 1:17

I had a blast photographing Baby Henke’s shower. I am so glad I was able capture this special day for the family. This baby shower was gorgeous! From the center pieces to the way the peaches were displayed, no detail was left unturned. The lighting was beautiful, but not as beautiful as the mommy-to-be!

I think my favorite part of the shower had to be the baby books. Christina had each table draw something in the cover of a book that was left on the table and then write a little note to Baby Henke. Baby Henke’s bookshelf will definitely be stocked with some pretty awesome, personalized books.

I am so excited for Christina and Frank. Their perfect, little miracle will be making his debut in just a few short weeks! He is going to be so spoiled with love… especially by his THREE big sisters :). ?

Dino Gordon | Macomb, MI

It has been forever since I’ve made a blog post! I’m definitely guilty of letting life get in the way, but what better way to start my blog back up than with a post of the newest addition to our family?!

Introducing… Dino Gordon Russo!

People always ask where we got his name from. Is Dino a family name? Nope! We actually came up with Dino after purchasing a fridge for our new home. My husband’s friend was selling us our fridge and we somehow got to talking about his Uncle Dino. The next day, I woke up with the name Dino on my mind. I couldn’t stop thinking about the name and I FINALLY knew that that was going to be my baby boy’s name. I instantly called my husband at work and he totally agreed. It was the first time we actually agreed on a name throughout my whole pregnancy. Dino’s middle name, Gordon, is my dad’s middle name. I wanted to be able to honor my dad by giving his grandson a part of his name. We would have used my dad’s first name, however, Kurt really didn’t go with Dino.

We welcomed Dino into our family on 6/14/16 at 4:05pm. He weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 20 inches long. He was a whole pound heavier than his big brother at birth! Oh and you know what’s really cool about his birth date?… It’s the same forward as it is backwards! I didn’t even notice that until someone pointed it out to me.

My husband took on the job as photographer during Dino’s birth. I wanted to hire a birth photographer, but Ronnie said he’d totally do it for me. I’m so proud of him. He captured some amazing, raw moments during Dino’s delivery and I’m so happy to have these moments frozen in time. Some of the photos he took are posted below.

Dino is already 7 weeks old. Man… time flies when you’re having fun! He’s already flashing momma his gummy, little smile and rolling over from back to front. I couldn’t believe my eyes when he rolled over the other day. I thought it was just going to be a one time thing… nope, he kept rolling over again and again today! It’s all down hill from here haha.

Dino’s big brother, Ronnie, just adores him. He loves giving Dino kisses and reads to him every morning. Ronnie has been an amazing big brother and momma’s helper. He pops Dino’s paci back it when it falls out and throws dirty diapers away in the garbage. I’ve never seen a kid get so excited about throwing something away haha. You’d think I was giving him a cookie or something (his favorite food)!

I’m excited to say that I am getting back into the photography grind. I took some time off for a semi maternity leave, but have some shoots coming up and can’t wait to let my creativity flow.

Stay tuned for some more shoots, blog posts and as always… thanks for your support! Stefanie Russo Photography had its first birthday in June. It’s hard to believe I’ve been in business for over a year. I couldn’t have done any of this without the support of my family, friends and clients :). Love you all!
